Today I went to a random interview, I've been doing tasks with TaskRabbit
A place wants me to take care of children 2 times a week, but they wanted to interview me, so I went today.
I told them I'm a designer in between jobs, that I could teach them how to draw, play with them and just paint in general :/
I'll tell you the truth, i'm terrified of children, they seem a bit "delicate" between the ages 1-4 they fall and such and that scares me because I can't be everywhere or transform into a huge cushion so they don't fall and hit themselves, if only I was one of the wonder twins and could that'd be awesome.
Anyway, after the quick interview, I rode my bike, is so beautiful outside, I'm still 400$ away from my end of June Goal but working still toward it, I know I can do it.
I kept biking through Oakland, its so beautiful outside, I rode by a bunch of produce and I love seeing produce, so I stopped I was fortunately by Bicycle Coffee Shop in Jack London, and somehow there's this lady selling japanese food next to the cashier, I was sooo hungry I haven't had breakfast and it was around 10:30 now *i'm starving* anyway I ask her for a rice ball, they were cheap, $2.50 wont hurt my goal. I mention how something she has looks like an empanada.
She asks me what do I know about empanadas? She believes they are baked. I start telling her all my knowledge about empanadas, how they change between countries in South America, how in Argentina they are baked, but in Colombia and Venezuela they are friend and with corn flour instead of wheat flour.
Momo is her name, of the girl. She actually gave me as a gift for my knowledge the curry bread she was selling I called it, Japanese empanada, it was delicious. I'm thankful that somehow the good vibes of humans and the world provides me when it seems a bit of a tough patch.
Thank you Momo, she's on instagram.
Here's a pic about the delicious Japanese empanada she gave me
Here's an extra pic of what I did after I got home from my ride.
I know the world is hearing, I'm waiting for some stable job you world... in the meantime keep sending me awesomeness, I'm keeping my eyes open for it <3
I hope you all are having a beautiful day <3
xoxo,
Mary
