Marvel is made of tea, muffins, and awkwardness. With a dash of James Bond.
What Ingredients Make You?
This summer:
* we fostered one cat and five kittens
* we took on a severely disabled Pekingese and gave him a life outside a puppymill
* I helped my mom paint my grandfather's house over the course of two days (just the two of us painting)
* passed my three month probation at the bank - yay!
* went camping at my childhood campground (and LOVED it!)
* walked a stretch of beach from one end to the other - something I haven't done pain-free in probably 10 years
* rode my bicycle
Here are some pics from this summer
Seymour, before grooming (he was covered in mats and absolutely filthy when he came to us from the puppymill. His nails had grown so long they curled around and dug into his pads. He would have been euthanized if Heckler and I hadn't brought him home - the pound offered to do it for free.
I named him after Fry's dog from the Futurama Episode, "Jurassic Bark"
Foster kitten - Wil Wheaton
Foster kitten - Munchkin
Foster cat - Luna (mama to Ron, Fred & George). Luna was caught near someone's house, her kittens born under their deck. The babes were only about 3 weeks old when they came to us. Super cute!!

Heckler and his foster-turned-adoptee from last summer - Bee was trapped at a feral cat colony not far from where we live. We figure that he must have Maine Coon in him, due to his sheer size. We got a talking to about his weight when we took him in for his booster shots last week... he's a lil big for being only one year old
Seymour, a few weeks after coming home
Seymour out for a walk in his stroller.
Heckler and I at the beach during our camping trip a couple of weeks ago
Our daughter in her "Alice in Madness" cosplay outfit today. She's holding a deer skull that she found in the woods near our house
