My new house is pretty awesome
Not much is going on here really. I'm kinda bored. Have loads of boxes to unpack, but nowhere to put anything until after I paint. I can't paint til I get my paint, and I can't get the paint until my mom lends me her discount card
I also can't move furniture around on account of being a gimp, lol.
I did go exploring in the neighbourhood with the dogs today
Ranger & Trinity (the labs) loved it. Even Nermal came, which got us some looks from neighbours - it isn't every day you see a cat out for a walk with two big dogs. Our house backs onto a thick forest, and there are trails that go between the streets in our development. Just a few houses down from ours are two ponds
Ranger was THRILLED with that, he went in up to his lil doggeh ankles and had a drink. I wish I had my camera with me! Apparently there are some small fish in there too, though I couldn't tell for how murky the water was. We saw two deer at the end of our street, right next to the "Caution! Bear in Area" sign.
Ranger has developed a HORRIBLE hot-spot at the base of his tail. Cold compresses, salt water - anyone have any more advice? I'd like to avoid a vet trip as that stresses him out, and he's already mega-stressed because of the move. Range is almost eleven years old, some days it feels like everything stresses him.

Things that are awesome:
* I've settled on colours for my bathroom and kitchen
* I had the opportunity to take a bath in my mom's soaker tub while she was out of town for the night. I lit candles and even put bubbles in. I can float in the tub if I prop my elbows on the arm-rests
* generosity rocks my socks, and this is an outstanding example of it, right here on SG!
* I have a cool new house phone - it's blue when it rings ♥
* Two friends came to help with my move, and it was amazing! They made the move feel like much less of a drag
* My cat comes on walks with me, how cool is that?
I suppose it's time to switch off Monty Python and head to bed. I hope you're all very well and have lots of happy things to write about
(this room is pretty much the only one that is set up
)
