been a little while since my last post, but today im talking/ranting/raving about fitness As it has just kind of recently taken over my life
so the last 6 months of my life.......
Since becoming single i have made up alot of time and i also have alot of time to kill, i mean i havent been single in years. ive been in and out of relationships since i was 14, whether they where serious or not. Anyways i was dreading what the single life would bring 'how will i ever live without her' blah blah, cant say (which i was surprised at) it lasted long. I got settled back into the single life pretty quickly and started to realise that actually this is for me, spending more time with family, friends and ofcourse myself!
i thought great, ive been trying to get fit and lose weight for ages so now was the time to focus on it!! i started after christmas, mainly running because my cardio was awful but my downfall was drinking and what i was eating. febuary weight in was about 81KGS and i was shipped off to Afghanistan for 3months and around 3 weeks in after i got used to the climate/work hours i hit the gym, mainly weights....i had done weight training before so picked up and used old routines usual do a mix between toneing and building and was doing regular 5k runs which in afghan heat is hard work!
so after 3 months of all this, with a pretty uncontrolled diet and using protein shakes once a day i came back home at 71kg, running 5k in 23mins and lifting a fair amount (with an awesome tan!) Happy days, a nice little booster to the start of a new lifestyle! against the odds i kept up the same routine and have only taken a few breaks whilst away on some lads holidays or with work. alot of the guys only train whilst out in afghan to keep busy but i got hooked, work offer a free gym but i even joined one back in my home town so i could go whilst there
The gym i ended up joining is run by Eddie Abbew the UKS no1 bodybuilder...he is the guy who trained jodie marsh! Now this gym is insane, full of meat heads and very impressive. A friend comes with me as it is impossible to train alone with such heavy weights and after joining here i have packed on the muscle, back up to 73.5kg now and lifting decent weight, i look small compared to the guys in there but i can certainly match them so all in all body building side of things are going great.
My only worries was whether this new body building gym craze was going to ruin my running? well no it hasnt, even though im weight lifting 4/5 times a week im running about 3 times a week and have got up to 7km now with ease at a good speed so you can have the best of both worlds.
To add to my training ive started taking multi vitamins and omega 3, green tea extract etc and i feel great. I will be keeping this up and posting photo improvements as they come, to say the least its a great confidence booster
With the new found confidence and body i am getting alot more attention from girls, as a newly single man whos been out of the game a long time this is great and lets say im having alot of fun!! life is good!!
Take it easy u sexy lot........and just to let u know, my heaviest was 95kg!! about 2008 so in 4 years ive lost 23, it is possible!!!
