I'm really in a pickle now...
The little tracker scroller round thing on my mouse is non-functioning. Now to approximate its effects, I have to go to the scroll-bar in windows, or physically slide the volume in my winamp. I was frustrated after just having done it the first time. Now repeat what was once a highly efficient and purposeful operation thousands of times in a day, and abandon it for some unfathomable second-at-best, and you may begin to grasp my woes.
Make no mistake about it: this is a Category-A Disaster. At the conclusion of this transmission, I am going to have to move my mouse to the bottom of this page using a radically inefficient process that involves too many movements of my wrist and fingers, throwing the whole affair into a siezureiffic and carpal mess.
On a totally different aside: Who remembers rubbing-off the black gunk which accumulated on mouse-balls, when we still used them? That had to be one of my most sought-after and therapeutic exercises.
