Man, what a crazy weekend. Split with my girlfriend on Thursday evening, we've been going out for 7 years, it was all very amicable and we're definitly gonna stay friends, but strange none the less. I agreed to give Claire the weekend on her own to get her stuff together to move back with her parents for a bit. Friday lunchtime the clutch goes on my car, big heap of shite, it's gonna cost 450 to fix and it meant I had to cancel a gig I was supposed to play at. Went out to another local gig instead and was expecting to see lots of people I knew but there's was only 2 others there, and I had a guy try to start a fight with me. I hate fighting. Decided to get drunk and crashed on my friends sofa. Went to watch some football yesterday which was probably to most normal thing i did. Went out again in the evening, got really drunk again and ended up in a wierd bar in Shoreditch full of coked up trendies. Shit music and expensive beer, stayed on another guy's sofa who I don't know that well. Woke up this morning feeling like shit, body aching all over and probably still a bit pissed from last night so got the train home and am now sitting on my own in a half empty flat feeling a bit lonely.
Guess I must sound like a right bundle of fun, I assure you I usually have a very chipper disposition.

Little consolation, but I split up with my girlfriend of 4 years about 6 months ago, and it just gets easier and easier. It was all amicable, well, as amicable as it could be, but I haven't spoken to her in all that time. Makes it much easier to deal with.
Anyway, all situations are different, but it all comes good in the end. It takes a long time, and the process shouldn't be rushed, but it sounds like you have a good handle on it.
I hope it all goes ok.
I saw you're post on the noobs thing as well, and I'd be more than happy to be a friend. I've just asked some people who I've posted next to and everyone seems friendly. Didn't put footy down on my list, but I'm keen on it. So, heres to a week of champions league (Liverpool vs Barcelona should be great), and get in touch if you feel like it.
Take care,
D
Oh, and happy birthday for last month. I've got the big 3-0 coming up in oct.
