So as I was hopping around the site the other day and while I was looking back through some of the old hopeful sets it occurred to me that a fair amount of these older sets are reasonably close to turning pink and becoming SG's, some sets within just a few dozen votes of turning pink. And while I was thinking about this I stumbled onto @smite recent blog about one of her older sets being bought and how she was now a suicide girl. I popped on over to take a look at the set she mentioned, intending to check it out and post a compliment when I saw that one of the last few comments made about the set was from me. In that moment the two ideas collided inside my head. So I was curious and wanted feedback from the SG community on what they thought about weekly, twice monthly, or a monthly blog dedicated to "resurrecting" an older hopeful set that might have been overlooked in its day simply because the community on SG was smaller then or because in the throng of uploads which, on most days is five sets for hopefuls, it got missed by the larger share of SG fans? There might already be something similar in the group forums, (admittedly I haven't done any research into this, more of a fly by the seat of my pants idea). Anyway just looking to hear back from people if they think this would be a good idea, both whether they think its worth the time and how often such a blog should be produced?
I'll answer a few questions that I think will come up in people's feedback. First I won't be doing this to boost the traffic on my friends/followers sets, this will be purely academic in that I will go back through a random year of hopeful posts, find a set close to the mark for turning pink, pour over it, and then do a detailed critique/description of the set. I won't be spending my time and energy bashing the model or being critical, the comments will be more geared towards telling a brief story that the images of the set inspires and highlighting some of the model's best features. The idea is not to be critical of the model but more about saying, "hey look, this model has a gorgeous smile," or "she's a master of the strip tease and keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat waiting eagerly to click to the next image." The point is to highlight someone who is beautiful, who is close to becoming an SG but who's set is languishing in the archives because in our society of sensory overload and quickfire gratification is lost in the drifting tides of time. Thanks for reading the blog and for any feedback any/all of you provide.
