I wanted to show everybody the places I've been working over the last few years. Mainly because I don't feel like going out tonight (Sunday is our Friday up in the mountains)
The first Hotel I worked at was the Edmonton House Suite Hotel... situated of course in loverly downtown Edmonton.
I had a blast working there... I was the plucky bellboy who really didn't do anything except make jokes, goof around, and make sure the guests had a good time. I didn't realize it at the time... but that's exactly what were supposed to do... no wonder they made me employee of the month
From there I transferred out to Pyramid Lake Resort up in Jasper.
That summer I spent all of my paychecks on booze. The total was around $6000. It was actually whilst drinking that my friends convinced me to go to college.
I spent my first Co-op program working at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Very busy property... met a lot of rich people. The second picture is a little better (and a little more modern). You can see my old residence building in the top left hand corner. I used to go down to the lake side on clear nights to play my guitar... The glaciers looked unbelievable under a full moon.
So now that those are all caught up... here's where I'm working now. The Delta Lodge Kananaskis
This is quite possibly the most awesome hotel I've ever worked at. I think I'll come back here when I'm finished school.
So ya. This is my third summer in the Rockies, and I still love it. Everybody comes to the point where they realize its time to leave the mountains. When people stay longer than they should, they get caught in the cycle, and find it harder and harder to leave every year.
I just hope that when my time comes, I'll be smart enough to leave. I just don't know how easy it's going to be

Yeah... I'm starting to second guess my "Boys are Gross" sentiments. At least not all of them are.
I love hiking myself. The parts of Canada I've seen seem like they are sooooo pretty!! I need to make it up there. Like, NOW.
