Weekend Recap.
FRIDAY
I came home from work with a splitting headache. I literally felt as though my head was going to split in half. So I took some IB and went to sleep until it was time for us to go. We left Oakland around 9pm and drove to LA. Got to Dino's around 4:30 am. YEA!
SATURDAY
We wake up to find that Mike has slept wrong on his neck and can barely move it. Suck ass! So we drive him a chiropractor and then head down to Anahiem for the show.
This was the big "secret" show with Bleeding Through. Basically they are just coming off of a big tour and wanted to play a small club for thier fans, while at the same time hoooking up some bands that they really like. There was about 600 kids there. The show went well, but i couldn't see the stage from the merch booth so I didnt get to see what the crowd reaction really was. After the show we pretty much just went back to Dino's and passed out.
SUNDAY (my birthday)
We woke up fairly early and met with ASP's lawyer for breakfast. He is a super cool rock and roll laywer, which is cool cuz he is doing pretty what he loves to do. We had a good informative breakfast and then headed out down Sunset to go to Guitar Center. After that we went back to Dino's where it was hot as all holey hell. We sat around watching episodes of Viva La Bam and punk'd that i had seen about 3 times each already and the boys fiddled with thier guitars. After that we went BACK to guitar center. I was hoping we would go out and do something fun, but no such luck. I basically ended up getting drunk in order to fall asleep and make the day end. we're making up for a crappy birthday with a party this saturday
MONDAY
We woke up and went out to Victorville to pick up craign and then took mike to get his neck adjusted again. By then it was time to head out to the Whisky a-go-go, where they wanted us there 5 hours early. We basically walked around sunset until it was time to soundcheck and then sat around until they played at 10:30. They played amazing and Dino and his whole crew showed up right in time to see them play. There were some important people there who needed to be impressed and i am pretty sure that they were impressed.
After the show we headed up the street to The Rainbow to meet up with Dino and everyone. We got to play rock star for a couple hours. Dino is waaaay coool. He bought us pizza and gave the band some constructive critisism and introduced us to all kinds of people. Pretty much everyone there knew him and it was the perfect place to people watch. Dino's house has basically become our home away from home and he told us we are welcome there whenever, which is so fucking cool. I don't know many people who would open up thier lives the way he has to us. There really aren't any words to express how thankful we are, appreciation just doesnt seem to be a big enough word.
TUESDAY
Tuesday Caysen and matt rode home with some friends from Berkeley who had drivin down for the shows and Mike, Ben and I took Craig home to Victorville. and then started the horrendous drive home. We got home and were very happy to be back in our own bed.
That is pretty much it. Now it is just back to work and all that. We head back down on May 20th for another Whisky show, hopefully make a weekend out of it and add a couple more So Cal shows. Party this Saturday at our house for my Birthday and Carlos and Ben's sister and mom as well. Like you care...

Yeah...the Whiskey sucks about their check in times. I always hated that.
Happy birthday!
