I live part way to the top of a moderately large hill. Some of you have walked up this hill with me, you know the hill, it's not so bad but I have a mental block about this hill - when peddling my bike with the burger bell I always stop at the bottom of the hill, get off and walk up.
Last night when I was walking my bike up the hill a man came up beside me, doing the kind of shuffling jog of the long-distance runner, sweating profusely.
Long-distance jogger: "You can ride up this hill"
Me: "I know, it's a mental thing, a block, I always walk up"
LDJ, jogging on: "The more you do the more you can do"
Me: "I know, I'm lazy..."
I wanted to run after him and ask him to be my dad. What a great thing, to tell a stranger!
The more you do, the more you can do
Today I rode up the hill.
But it does still send me into a smallish spiral... more, I need to do more! And then I start beating myself up about not doing enough so I do even less.
One thing at a time. One thing at a time. I tend to let time eat itself.
Photography photography photography. My life is becoming all about it. Woop! I keep putting off going through the hundreds of photos I have in boxes to pull out a portfolio and build a new website. Currently I am waiting to hear back from my landlady as to whether I can get rid of the small table here so as to make room for the filing cabinet that will make the above task much easier. Hmmm. I have lots of time in the next few days. I'm gonna take a stab at it.
I am kinda in two minds about my name. Most of you know my name is not Celeste. I like the name Celeste, and I like having a pseudonym, but I think I may prefer one that is more of a nickname, and seems less like pretending to be someone else. I'm just turning it over in my mind.
This evening I went for a dip in the Ladies Pond. Mmmm-mmm-mmm-mm-mmm! Mmm! I'm tellin' ya! And on that note... is the Apnea/Bennie set the hottest hot thing you've seen in quite some time? I think so!
(The night draws on... a shooting star appears... still she waits...)

keep on peddling.
The persistent headache you mention below - I had a similar thing a few months back - turned out I had a trapped nerve. My doctor did a manipulation on my neck and I've been a lot better since - maybe the same would work for you.
