Back already! The fish weren't bitin'.

Today, whilst fishing in the Lee River Navigation, I found a book of photos by Daido Moriyama. And these two seem to me like perfect complimentary opposites:

Also on the Lee I met my friend Alison (whom I haven't seen since last summer, when she was telling me of her planned journey to Egypt, and I telling her of mine to NYC). She imparted all kinds of optimism and wisdom to me. I love her.

And then later, on the way home with my tackle slung over my shoulder (oo err missus), I saw Ellie. We agreed that I would document her next piece of art, and I'm so honoured. Then she sewed a small tag into my coat sleeve. It reads:
BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER

10PM UPDATE

wOWsers.

Today is my day for wishing I lived at least part-time in the Land Of The Free, Home Of The Brave. I wanna meet some of you crazy-fuzzy-bunnies. Sigh.

There will be a day in the not-too-distant future when I will be a-visiting, and then I'm gonna come and set up camp in every one of your homes.
