Chrysanthemum
Chrysanthemum spp.
An emblem of the Japanese Imperial Family, the chrysanthemum is a symbol of perfection, longevity, and immortality. The flower is a solar symbol and is said to act as an intermediary between the earth and heaven.
There are many varieties of chrysanthemums and they grow in numerous colors. Each colored flower can be used in focus-specific magic.
Red: Seeking Everlasting Love
During the day, take a compass and four pennies to a chrysanthemum that blooms red. Using the compass, bury one penny at each of the four quarters: North, South, East, and West. Say:
"Copper of Venus,
Work your charm.
Bring me love
That is safe from harm."
{The red chrysanthemum appeared to me in a dream this morning. It is my next tattoo, along with a bird, of as yet unspecified species.}
