[Jacob Smigel] was also selling a cd full of found music that he had complied from hunting for cassettes at flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales, and the like. It's really fantastic and beautiful. There are tons of different kinds of clips: surreal, sexual, confessional, musical, hilarious, and they all offer a quick, exciting peak into the lives of some very strange people (or,truthfully, people just like you and me).
Oh yeah, good news. I am wearing two shoes now! My foot is much better, and in 3 weeks, if I'm good, it should be all healed. That means my Chicago trip is still on, and I'm a very happy camper. Also, my birthday is a month from today, hooray!
Anyway, here are some polaroids from The Smell last night.
I am way out of practice taking pictures, so I'm glad I got the chance to last night. I didn't really get anything good, but once I stop being rusty hopefully I'll take some okay ones again.
Much love.
Also, I agree with Subrosa about Tex.
