Trying not to let anger and depression suck me in again. My mood has been black all day and L just left for Los Angeles to be with people that rank higher than me in her life. Some of them she's never met in the flesh. So, my esteem is taking a serious beating on the home front.
At least I have my friends and K. They have all given me the support I so desperately need and made it possible for me to move on. I thank each and everyone of you, those here and those in RL.
To take my mind off things, tomorrow we are going to a birthday party for a friends son. A little Laser Tag action and some pizza. Sunday, it's off to LegoLand where we can ride some cool little rides (it's no 6 Flags, but it'll do for now ) and have a good time in general.
My friend has suggested I sit down and try to remember who I am and list the things that I like to do. Just 20 or so things. So, I'll try that. List some things and realize how long its been since I did them and actually did something _I_ wanted to do rather than placate my future ex-wife. Time for some 'Me' time. I love L, but fuck her. It's time to make ME happy.
So, here's a partial list of the things I like to do and haven't done in many a moon:
1) Fishing. Haven't been deep sea fishing in a while. Love it.
2) Mountain Biking. It's been over a year since I hit a single track and hopped a stump. Need to get back in the saddle.
3) Writing. So many ideas for stories that have been abandoned or just started. Time to finish something.
4) Movies. Not just new movies, but hanging with friends, some beer, and some good food. Simple relaxation and quoting the lines we all love to quote.
5) Go to a bar/club. Okay, this I've done fairly often of late. Keep it up. Of course, I haven't danced in nearly 2 months, gotta fix that.
6) Concerts. Damn, I've been to two shows in three years. That ABSOLUTELY must change.
7) Museums. Haven't been to one in ages...
Well. That's enough for now. Not 20, but I'll add more.
What's something you love to do but haven't done in forever? Why not and what are you going to do to fix it? Hell, if you're SoCal, talk at me folks and maybe we can do it together.
