Well, things are on the mend. This has been the first time in a long time I can remember being happy for longer than 15-30 minutes.
My lovely wife, L, and I have done alot of talking and soul searching (as well as soul baring) and become much closer. Our relationships with each other is slowly improving and it feels good. I'm honestly beginning to fall in love all over again. All this time she's been afraid that I couldn't accept who she was and she was suprised (and pleased) to find that I could. It was not knowing if I could handle the relationship itself and not knowing who in the hell _I_ was that was bringing all the pain. We're both learning a great deal about one another and, most importantly, I'm learning who I am and what I am capable of. It's scary, but fulfilling.
I can only hope things continue in this way. And I think they will.
L, if you ever see this, I love you fiercely and value your love and friendship more than anything on this green earth. Thank you for being you, and thank you for helping me be who I never thought I could be.

I have never had a sunburn. Always tan. Which sucks this summer because I'm actually trying to stay pale.
