On Tuesday I saw the most incredible neon sunset...
My crappy camera phone does nothing for the colors. I saw it as I was leaving class, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I set my bag down and just stood in the parking lot and watched until the neon turned water color and finally dusk blue-gray.
After that I went and saw a great band, and tapped my toe and subtly shook my rump while the music mounted and people began to stomp.
On the drive home I hit a light summer rain, speckling my windows while the warm summer air still rushed in the window.
As I passed the tangle of construction and rounded the corner toward my street, lightening split the sky in the near distance.
When
SarahPie arrived home, we put my laptop on the patio table, pressed play, climbed a ladder to the roof, threw down blankets, and watched until the lightening was gone and the sky took on the dull glow of approaching dawn.
"We are infinite." The phrase began as a joke... it has become a mantra.
My summer is drawing to a close. These last few days of summer have been some of the best days of my life. I am going to roll with it... to infinity and beyond.
Side note: when I read the word hippy my mind automatically substitutes happy for it instead. It's a thing we've got going.
