NEWS EVERYONE!!!!
I'ts good to be on welfare, it gaves me time to read some books i had forgoten all around my house and some new ones i've had in mind since i-don't-know-how.
Recently i have been reading "Choke" because i needed badly to see the film and because even i've only read "Fight Club" i have some kind of crush with Palanhiuk. He is one of the few writers out now who can say something about every thing that's been written before with a new and fresh point of view, also it scares me how much i find of myself in Victor Manccini or every damn soul on "Fight Club".
I love how Palahniuk can make you laugh about unfunny and ugly situations of real life, but the thing about that man is that he's able to give selfdestruction a real meaning, as a path in order to create something from scratch. i mean, as Bukowsky stated in all of his Chinasky-era novels : i'm a drunk, i choosed to be a drunk and i'm happy, period.
When all falls down you have the right to stay at home or you can stare at the world burning saying :
That's it, this is finally the end of the world, but Gee! i don't know how, but i think that's also a new beginning, MY OWN NEW begining, y'know , maybe God gave us the copyright of the Second Coming, and we have to create our own Messiah ( references from "Fight Club" and "Choke" ).
I mean , C'mon ! every single one can destroy a house, but not everyone can build one.
Said that. i had a great time reading "Choke" and looking forward to read all the rest. i know i will enjoy the movie as well , rockwell never dissapoints me and he's the perfect Victor Manccini in my mind.
Now i will ask you one thing:
What would Jesus *not* do.
