Hey There!!
So this weeks blog homework from @lyxzen and @charmaine is "What is your hidden talent?". Honestly I've written a blog about one of them already...however I'll be happy to share it again with you...and add a something little extra!!
Firstly...I play piano. MOST people who know me, don't know I play. They have never heard me play. I don't share it with a lot of people because when you say "Hey, I play an instrument." The first thing people do is "OMG PLAY ME SOMETHING!!". Ehhhh.....um.....no thanks. I don't like playing in front of others because I make mistakes, I get nervous, I feel like I'm being judged.
I have been playing the piano since I was 4...however, I have taken numerous breaks in between...so it's kind of a thing that I put down and pick back up again. Lately I've been trying to play a song every morning to help ease my mind. I'm still very rusty. :( I used to be able to play songs that I can't play now. Difficult songs that my young nimble fingers could handle....now I can barely get through those songs without it sounding like one of my cats is walking across the keyboard.
I have 2 pianos...one of which was the one recieved when I was 4....it is broken, dirty and old...however I refuse to get rid of it. It was my first instrument, the first thing I learned on....it's more than just a piano to me. The second is one my dad just got for me a few months ago....because he wanted me to start playing again. He knows how happy I was when I was playing and with all my recent troubles, he thought getting me to play again would be a good thing...and it has been.
As you guys have asked.....I made a video of me playing. The quality isn't very good because I took it on my phone and it's a song I hadn't played in years....actually the song that shows in all the photos above :) So please be gentle with the comments lol....because it's not perfect >.<
My second hidden talent is....art. A lot of people don't know that I can draw....only recently have I started sharing my artwork with others. I'm always afraid that people won't understand my artwork.
I do a lot of weird things with art though...not just drawing or painting. I tend to draw on inanimate objects as well haha. Especially eggs. Like what they are thinking when they are getting cracked open or when they see their friends getting cracked open or when they are just sitting in the box lol. IDK. I know....I'm weird.....
I don't like to draw things for people....so most of the time if I draw something people will go "Oh wow, i didn't know you could draw!!" And I just say "Oh, yea...just something I do in my spare time".
I know what you're thinking....I already knew all this about you!! Yea that's true...however....it's only recently I started sharing these talents with others heh. Most people in the real world don't know about them....just you guys ;) So feel special will ya!!! :P
