People are too sure of themselves and their opinions. Sometimes I feel very childlike because I still allow myself to make up fantasies about life or rather allow myself to believe there's still wonder in the universe that doesn't need explaining or classification or whatever system people impose on nature in order to feel safer. Other times I feel like I've found the key to happiness and others are just too proud to admit my method works but I'm happy ('cept for when something makes me sad) and dammit, if they can't be then that's their problem. This is the song I'm listening to right now, it fits the situation, my mood, etc...
Constellations by Jack Johnson
The light was leaving in the west it was blue
The childrens laughter sang
And skipping just like the stones they threw
Their voices echoed across the waves
Its getting late
And it was just another night
With a sunset and a moonrise
Not too far behind to give us just enough light
To lay down underneath the stars
We listened to Papas translations
Of the stories across the sky
We drew our own constellations
The west winds often last too long
And when they calm down, nothing ever feels the same
Sheltered under the Kamani tree
Waiting for the passing rain
Clouds keep moving to uncover the sea
Stars up above us chasing the day away
To find the stories that we sometimes need
Listen close enough and all else fades
Fades away
And it was just another night
With a sunset and a moonrise
Not so far behind to give us just enough light
To lay down underneath the stars
Listen to all translations
Of the stories across the sky
We drew our own constellations
