Too much time on my hands and all I do is think. Sometimes this is a
good thing. Solve problems, remember that I need to pay the bills and
practical stuff that makes my world go around. Then there are things
like "why" ? I have never really believed the religion under whose
wing I developed and the whole creation thing. It didn't seem to make
sense. Darwinism, evolution and the stuff they taught in Biology class
did. Seemed reasonable. Then I read this article in a magazine not
known for thought provoking material. There are gaps in evolutionary
theory. There are the missing links, links that Darwin believed that
once he had plotted the map, the people who followed him would find.
We haven't yet and we have spent many years and many bright people. So
what am I now supposed to think? It is a bit strange if you believe
that we are the only form of life to have developed into such an
animal; an animal with the capability of radically altering it's
landscape and it's relationship with all the creatures that it shares
the planet with.

I told you it was dangerous for me to have time off

Everyone in the UK should really be watching BBC2 on Wednesday nights.
That is truly scary and I just wish it had been broadcast before the
Iraq debate became the war and maybe I would have been more articulate
on the whole thing.

I started by talking about thought and how dangerous that can be. For
example, I met this girl on Saturday, she is blissfully and recently
married. And my head went "gosh" in a smiling on the inside kind of
way.
