up by trees
this poetry is drunk
dry by flowers
this is poetry that worms live in
dance breathe and fuck in
this poetry is reached into by roots
roots threaded by a thousand feelers
and each feeler is going further
and further in to the dark
looking for the nectar of all life

this poetry is tapped
this poetry is dug
this is the poetry that holds me up holds you up holds us all up
and keeps us
above that fire
this big ugly fire way down
below
