I've been getting aggrivated by a person lately who uses natural healing as a smoke-screen to be an arrogant know-it-all. This makes me especially angry because people in any holistic line of work are supposed to be out to educate and embrace people, not to put yourself on a pedistole (sp?). Thats something we like to call a hypocrite.
This person is definatly well-educated, but is one of those people whos mind set is "I'm right, thats it, end of story." It really fucking bothers me. Doesn't matter what topic you're talking about with (Lets call him Chris) Chris, he has to stick out his pompus chest and make sure everybody knows hes the only one with the correct answers.
Even if you're asking Chris for help with something, although he doesn't actually come out and insult you, he uses a very belittling tone. For example, I was having trouble figuring something out so I went to Chris for guidence. After explaining my situation, I said "What am I doing wrong?" His response? Not, "I'd be glad to help" or "In my experience blah blah blah" but a blunt "Probably everything." WHAT A DICK!!
Other people have approched Chris about this, but his only response is to get angry and defensive. Its like, yeah I get it, you are more knowledgeable than I am. Put your ego away and then we can talk.
