hello (echo echo echo)
Today was exciting. Grandma and i finally took REAL steps toward our future herb/flower/veg/fruit garden/labrynth. I got paid for my travel time and immediately after depositing that i met gma at Home Depot. And what did we do at that point? well, what all women do; stood around in the girls bathroom and discussed landscaping/tools/shrubbery....but of course!
So we mapped out a general idea of what we want....working with 1/2 acre to several (ha! in our wildest dreams, starting small here) For those of you, basically all of you who dont know my gma, she IS the worlds greatest...no seriously dont even try to argue, WE WILL WIN. and included in this awesome gma package is the worlds awesomest green thumb. She knows everything...she'll say she doesnt...but seriously she could plant a sunflower seed and make a baby pop out of it.
So we purchased some basic components....8 big brownish bricks and 2 50lb bags of sand. Our starting point will be a bench....were gonna put it on the bricks and behind the bench were gonna have some shrubs. See, the shrubs will be hiding the top of the underground storm shelter...yeah i know...the key word there SHOULD be underground. But its all ghetoo like and theres a big ol mound of dirt there. But anway...we shall remedy its distastfulness! Wednesday we go to the nursery to pick out the approriate sunloving un freezable shrubs for behind the bench. In the meantime, i will be researching herb gardening and general gardening online and printing our own (FREE) 'book' We figured we could take that extra $20-50 for more plants instead of a dumb expensive book....because everyone knows, the internet has everything!
I'll keep this box updated on garden developments.
Other news: I havent been able to feel 3 toes on my right foot in over 2 weeks. Today my knee popped out of place at home depot and hurt like something horrible. I have dr appointment wed and will hopefully have some answers for those little issues.
Ah, somewhat bigger news: I contacted Des and apologized for condemning her choices and basically ending our friendship 5 years ago. She responded very quick and our exchanges were long, positive and so freeing. (for both ends) Today has felt so fresh and new and i am happy that chapter in my life is mended....
I have peed like 20 times today. ANNOYING. My hands smell like limes because Lisa gave me some of her weird mexican stew its so delicious! I ate it for supper. Its amazing how simple a dish can be but taste divine!
Laura is leaving California and heading home and im glad because i sure miss her a lot. Even though i know she'll be in a pissy/exhausted mood when she gets back i will try to shower her with affection!
So i am offically saving for Yosemite/Redwoods! Hopefully that will transpire this summer...cant wait. I look forward to some hardcore nitty gritty backpacking/hiking/camping for a week solid. oh yeah baby.
And now for a question:
Should i feel awkward that i bought a pair of pigskin gardening gloves when i dont eat meat?
Does that just make no sense at all or what?

I didn't know that the reason you stopped meat was to save the north american shaved weasel. I thought it was because you always eat too much. Cause it's soooooo nummy and sooooo tasty and soooooo good for you n stuff.
