The World Cup has ended. Unfortunately for me and all my fellow Argentina supporters it ended with heartbreak. Heartache is never fun but I'm used to it. As someone who fails in life and loses often I am quite used to this pain. Argentina played a good game. The game really played out like I expected. The Germans would come out strong but the Argentine defense would hold and after the half that frustration would turn it more chances for Argentina. All that happened. However in my vision Argentina actually converted on those chances and won the game. In reality, they missed the shots, many very big chances and squandered each one. It was disappointing to see the team with a world class striker squad lead by Messi fail to put the ball on net.
However I'm proud of this team and proud to wear the albiceleste. This team plays for a country that really needed hope and something good to look towards. Argentina isn't in the best places economically and many of its people suffer because of that. Since soccer is in the blood and history of the country it really raises the spirits of them to see the team succeed.
Now that the World Cup has concluded I will as I originally intended when I started blogging on this site is use it to hash out ideas and concepts. I will call this blog segment "MalRational" (same as my username here) and the idea is this is "Mal's Rational" regarding a topic. Many of these ideas will be politically or religiously charged and I need a place to discuss them for my own betterment. A place where I can see the words I use and reread it and decide if I really got my point across. So I think for my first #malrational post on such a topic will be about healthcare and insurance in the USA, how and why it works and just who is the "villain".
