So - I just got home from work - CRAZY busy night - which is a very good thing as the last month has been painfully slow. Most DC residents aren't native to the area, so they all go home for the holidays and the Nation's capitol becomes a ghost town.
We hired a new server last week, and I'm finding my co-workers reaction to him incredibly entertaining. This guy is drop DEAD gorgeous - I'm talking one of those types that people walk into walls and trip over themselves about. The girls are getting all catty competetive and the guys are taunting the poor young man about how many gay men go all googly-eyed when he waits on them. (Some straight guys are so lame when they are jealous!)
People are so funny sometimes.
It's weird - I found myself actually feeling sorry for the new guy. It was almost like watching a deer trapped in a cave with hungry wolves. I mean - how great can it really BE - to be one of those people that causes such an extreme reaction?
I knew another person like this - a girl - poor thing has had THREE - yes - THREE genuinely psychotic stalkers. She seemed to have this bizzare effect on men (and some women) - it's like something about her drove normally sane people out of their skulls with desire for her.
Is it possible that a person can be TOO attractive?
Is it some sort of pheromone thing?
I can't say I envy this kind of person.

As for the dinner. I would be down for you and your husband to come, but I gotta find out what is going down, and ask my mom if I can have a bunch of people over. Im thinking it's going to be a sort of dinner/hot tub bash. I need to get home first, and talk to some people before etching anything in stone.
It sucks when someone is judged solely on their appearance, whether it's good or bad. But I guess we all do it sometimes.
