i spent the weekend camping in the woods with a huge group of friends. it was delightful... this is what summer's about! here are some photos - and yes, i know i hang out with incredibly good-looking people. (i didn't take these!)

i'm not much of a camper - i'm just generally miserable when i'm dirty, and i hate tents - but big trips like this are kind of the quintessential summer activity. we drank a lot, ate charred food, bonded over guitars and lake water. sometimes i feel like i miss out on "normal" activities. god knows why. i'm a giant brain floating in space. i alone command the spice.

also, i've been watching heroes obsessively. i've been watching multiple episodes a day. i hope i get a full-time job soon so i will stop being so pathetic. it's just such an addictive show. i have even been having dreams about it. i hope i have another one tonight.
i just tried to find a heroes slash fanart image to post, but no dice.

the mushroom scramble i talked about in my last journal entry
question of the day: are there any "quintessential activities" you feel like you've missed out on? how much of that do you think is fed by the TV/movie image of what life is supposed to be like?
