recently i uploaded a bunch of my doodles from my school notes to this flickr set. i draw a lot... maybe you didn't know that. i don't do much with it but i love to doodle and sketch in my schoolbooks.
it's still pretty cold out which makes me alternately angry/frustrated and sad. still, it's been beautiful. it feels like spring, despite the bite in the air.

lately we have been hosting dinner parties almost every night and drinking so much wine. it's been excellent. my girlfriend is an incredible chef, better than me (which i don't encounter often in people my age) - so together we are a vegan culinary team par excellence. i am her sous chef.

in late may i'm flying down to san francisco. book your time with me now... no, just kidding. i'll probably be a recluse as usual, but i'm really excited to meet the GGO girls and see my favourite sixsixty. after a week in SF, i'm going back to albuquerque (strangely very excited for this) where i get to see the beautiful and charming redmess. god damn do i wish i could visit texas while i'm there, but chances are we're going to denver and calgary if we go anywhere else, and then home.
(me in albuquerque in december)
i want my american road trip so badly, but i'm going to be in school for the next two years straight. maybe after that. maybe i need to figure out a way to get my driver's license. le sigh. maybe i'll just bike around! not quite the same as my childhood dream but i'm sure i'd love it just as much.
oh yeah... a couple weeks ago, the beautiful and talented kimberly gillett took some gorgeous photos of the girl and i. here's one...
okay, that's it for now.
