everything will be okay.
right?
this was last wednesday. i'm not sick anymore.
that night, i did go to the show at the bourbon, and during fake shark's set i kicked a broken bottle off of the dance floor (i was wearing high tops and didn't want anyone in sandals to cut themselves). after another song's worth of dancing i felt a warmth and a squelching of wetness inside of my shoe and looked down to see spurts of blood all over the floor. i spent the rest of the show holding the video camera, after missing my two favourite fake shark songs while in the bathroom getting my foot wrapped up.
i stayed out and partied til 4am anyway.

hal took this photo. he's the subject of a documentary that i was interviewed/filmed for all day on friday.
friday night i was out til 5am.
yes. life's been late-night, life's been vodka-cranberry and film crews and whirlwinds and old friends and new friends and almost-makeouts and tears and laughter and cute outfits and bands and parties and photos and twitter and dinners and painting and worrying and hoping and wondering if i really will go to school in montreal come january or whether i'll stay here, in my new apartment that i love, with people that i love.
instead of escaping.
it's so tempting to end all of my problems by leaving the city... but it's a cheap way out.

i'm almost always the photographer, not the photographee... these are by lindsay. every girl needs a best friend who's a hipster party photographer.

someone called me a heartbreaker recently. i was offended, but shortly realized that i kind of am one. i don't mean to be, really. i just want to get to know all of the beautiful, dynamic, passionate, inspiring people i meet. it's hard for me.
