school is wonderful. school is all-absorbing. my days look like this...
7:30am: wake up
8:00am: have coffee in the kitchen with my wife
8:30am: leave for school on bicycle
9:05am: arrive at school
classes! reading! note-taking! assignment-doing!
3:00 - 7:00pm: arrive home
family dinner for three to seven people, depending on who's around!
conversation! fun! cleanup! coffee, tea and cigarettes on the porch!
11:00pm: bedtime
what happens in here depends on whether my lady is over or not.
12:00am: sleeptime
i am so busy. i'm thinking of running for the student government at my school... there are quite a few positions open and i'd like to be on the women's and the queer committee, as well as possibly the environmental committee. goodness... and my former employer still wants me to work as many hours as i can fit in. it's a tough life, kids.
i was meant to be a student, a scholar, something like that. i'm so happy, so excited. i just love sharing information, receiving it, absorbing it, wallowing in it. it's natural to me. i am so, so glad i decided to go back for a post secondary education. even if i don't end up getting a degree (the likelihood that i will have the patience and dedication to pursue a degree is quite low) or really "doing anything with [my] education", i'll have had this experience, this chance to let my mind expand.
i missed it...! i was such a keener in high school.
i'm taking (all first year classes of course!):
ENGLISH advanced composition and short prose analysis
PHILOSOPHY knowledge and realities
WOMEN'S STUDIES a cross-cultural analysis
ART HISTORY visual culture
FINE ARTS introduction to painting
so what are you meant for? when do you truly shine?

Don't worry, it's short but the art and audio direction are epic and sublime.
