i'm moving! whee... it's awesome. i'm currently mid-pack and i'm taking a break. i ate fried snack food for supper. did you know that bugles(tm) are way better when they've been in the freezer for a while? try it. you may be pleasantly surprised.
in other news i've lost my voice and i've since become a coughing, hacking wreck. that's what you get for protesting in the rain i guess. i was SO SOAKED friday and saturday, i just couldn't dry off... my clothes would still be wet when i put them on the next morning. gross. i went to victoria and ended up biking on to the ferry in a downpour.
the best part of my trip, though, was that on sunday i spent five hours at tattoo zoo under the caring, wise needle of gerry kramer. i don't have any pictures yet because my camera battery died at the protest and i have yet to actually find my charger. it, along with my screwdriver and one of my favourite socks, has disappeared into the abyss that is my room mid-pack. eventually i will find it. eventually tonight.
so, you ask, what was malloreigh protesting that caused her to so recklessly spend a day in the pouring rain? why, the logging and raw log exports of vancouver island's remaining old growth trees! these trees shelter fragile ecosystems and take hundreds of years to grow, but they're being clearcut with the raw logs exported to korea, japan and the evil USA so our timber industry doesn't even make bucks for processing 'em. how terrible! check out the western canada wilderness committee for more info.
for a little bit of a changeup, here are some shots of nikala. this set was rejected, unfortunately, because of my shitty photography. oh well!

Aw, thanks. I'm actually going there eventually. I'm Either starting during the summer or waiting until the fall. I've been thinking of adventuring recently. I've been looking at the Burning Man site. Maybe I'll try something like that (eventhough I wouldnt know who to go with) or take a trip out of the country. I'm so mixed up about what I want to do. any suggestions?
