My ill has turned to very ill. Boo! I think I have the flu - it's the vegan flu, but still, it's rotten. For those of you who don't have the same sweet situation going on that I do - because I'm a tough, thick-skinned, super-healthy vegan warrior, I very rarely get sick and when I have a cold, I often just have sore limbs and I'm more tired than usual rather than sharing the symptoms my friends and family will have (sore throat, stuffy nose, cough and sneezes). So right now, with the flu that laid up my roommate in bed for days, I am disoriented and dizzy and a bit sniffly with a somewhat hoarse voice. And I'm very tired. But by and large I am okay.
I think I made it worse because today was sunny and lovely and I figured I could wear just a sweater and spend the evening fixing my flat tire on the back porch, but then it started to get pretty cold and I toughed it out and then I got all sniffly.
Anyway, today I saw a great talk by Dr Vandana Shiva, got a new job (I now have two part-time web design/development jobs just to keep things interesting), and bought eggplant which I am about to roast with chilies and olive oil before panfrying it with some mint.
Jealous of my life? I thought so.
That's a half-finished painting. I call it "Always remember to wear your helmet!" I think it's hot.
