I am sooooo the rad. Last night I went to the Students Day of Action afterparty - which was also a fundraiser for a conference called Feminism(s): Strengthening the Ties. I was really tired after a day of work, a bit too much red wine, and a rousing collective meeting, but I drank myself some cranberry juice and the sugar gave me the boost I needed to... enter a DANCE competition!
I made it into the finals - which was pretty cool I think, considering how blasted tired I was. The girl who won - well I think I fell in love with her a little bit - but frankly I'm falling in love all over the place lately. Girls, girls, girls... so many beautiful, captivating, magnetic girls out there.
It was actually pretty awesome because it was just like in Grease, where the judges walk through the crowd and if they tap you on the shoulder you're out. When I was finally tapped, the judge said, "I'm sorry!" but I didn't mind, I was tired and sweaty and losing my dance mojo anyway.
So to return to a topic I briefly mentioned above - the collective meeting - we're starting a collective and fingers crossed, if we can get enough funding, a worker-run organic cafe. I'm really excited, I'm going to do everything I can to make this happen. Guess this finally makes me a real anarchist, huh?
Linds and I reflected in a mirror before a shoot...
OPINIONS: is "Technowledge" a dumb word or a rad word? Is its meaning immediately obvious? Does it sound and look the way it should? Does it need the "k" to make sense?
Edit: Technowledge has now been added to the Glossoreigh, which has also received a few other updates. If you're interested in new words or perhaps a glimpse into my head, check it out.

I only wish I could have seen the dacing! I'll bet you had a blast!
I would have gone with Tecknowledge . . . but heigh, its your word!
Can't blame you for falling in love with all the cute young girls . . . . could there be anything better?
Have a great weekend!
Huh.
I didn't think the competitions with shoulder tapping still happened. That sounds like a brilliant thing to have done.
