so, interesting week. New boss has settled in at work making the command structure there even more confused than ever (now it's 10 people in the lab, 7 of them in some form of leadership, I'm one the the three unlucky ones). The new boss has been put in to ease our transition into the new lab, they are merging us with the seed lab (I'm in the food lab). That means expansion and a bigger site. The catch? the bigger site is 22km away (~13 miles) from the current lab, well out into the country and my much loved old civic has just sprouted a coolant leak, time to crash save for a new car (which will probably be a newer civic, still red, still a hatchback but preferably a manual with a larger engine this time)

so yeah, life is interesting
