Not really a whole lot exciting going on these days. The job's good but tiring (mostly because of the 7 am wakeup). I plan to enjoy being paid a whole lot more, but only on my first full paycheck from the new job, so can't say for sure how it'll affect my life yet. Spending a lot of time playing WoW with a friend, less time playing much else, somewhat to my dismay.
Oh, and tonight I finally broke down and joined Facebook. I've been resisting it because I'm an elitist snob, but so many people I know are on it, and it's already potentially gotten me in touch with a couple of people I haven't seen in years. Probably the biggest thrill for me? There was a girl I used to hang out with in grade school and junior high, maybe even high school somewhat, though I don't remember it. A couple of times since then we've bumped into each other on the bus briefly, and she not only remembered and identified me (hard - I look a lot different than I used to), but seemed really happy to see me, for reasons I was unable to identify. I'm kind of secretly hoping that it's "oh god, I had such a crush on you in high school, marry me" but it's probably just her being really nice and happy to see everyone. And I've wanted to see about actually talking to her at any real length since then, but never had any real way to get in touch. Now I do. She's on Facebook.
If any of you would like to add me on Facebook (and think I'd be comfortable with letting you in on real-life identifying information, because I did use that to create my account - didn't seem like there was much point otherwise), let me know.
Addendum: Oh, and I found a telnet/SSH Java app for my cell phone. This makes me ridiculously happy. It's such an ill-suited platform for doing that sort of thing, with a tiny screen and tiny keyboard with many important characters several keypresses away. But goddammit, now I can MUD -anywhere-!
I would have killed for this in high school.
(I could also do funky remote control stuff with my computers, but too much trouble to set up and too much security risk.)

Hmm, I should be able to run bioshock. I'll probably get it when I have some free time. I've been feeling strangely book- and jewelry-driven lately.

Yes, I meant making jewelry. A good chunk of money goes into it (I spent $70 recently for jewelry I'm going to make for a fashion show) but mostly it takes up a lot of time. I'm also going to open an etsy soon so I'm trying to coordinate and organize everything.
