Damn you James Marsters....
For the Canadian National Expo this year, the tickets start at $80 for an absolute basic pass to see this guy on the Sunday at an hour long Q&A session and get a non-personalized autograph. The next prices up are $200 (includes the concert), and then $650! I also found out that tickets go on sale tonight, limit of 500 per "level". So between now and 11:59pm tonight I can try to come up with $200 to go to the concert and get other shiny-ish things (doesn't include the admission to the con though), or settle for no concert and pay $80.
*grumble*
I can't really justify spending that type of money just to see someone. I'll pay a decent amount for a concert, I'm actually getting a performance. Paying to sit with a bunch of drooling people while they ask this guy stupid questions is really not that appealing to me. The autograph, though nice, is just an autograph. Someone's scribble on a piece of paper.
I think that I just defined my fandom...not nearly as scary as I thought that I was. I still love this guy...but I just want to meet and chat...that's it. Though in the back of my perverted mind, jumping such an attractive person is appealing, I realize that I'm quite happy with what I have here at home.
Famous people certainly are not gods, so I'm not going to treat them as though they are.
Rant is done, I apologize.
