So, I guess this is my substitute for a social life in town here. (At least there are girls willing to get naked.)
As virtually everyone knows, you never appreciate most things until they're gone. Cities are the same. Or at least city life in general. I lived in Boston for four years bitching about the T. Now I live in Bensalem, which has no mass transit and nowhere to ride it to if such a thing did exist. *sigh* Pesky hindsight and its after-the-fact appreciation for Boston culture.
It's not all bad, though. My friend's 21st birthday party is coming up; she's carting a bunch of her friends down to Atlantic City, which is conveniently a couple hours' bus trip away from here. It's no Vegas, but I've never been to Vegas, so that doesn't matter to me! A good weekend's respite from the boredom awaits me, if nothing else.
Still need to entertain myself this weekend. Probably going to get off my lazy ass (assuming that this week the weather doesn't spite me) and go into Philadelphia. I'm also hoping to start working out at least somewhat once the pool opens up here. I don't know who the hell keep a pool closed until mid-June, but he or she runs this community.
Oh well. I've got 3 more days of pointless, pointless work to do before then anyway. At least it's $25/hour. When I move somewhere cool, I am definitely living large for a while.
