St. Patrick's Day was fun, but not interesting enough to warrant details. There was a party,. It was low-key but decent. End of story. It's kind of a drinkers-only holiday, you know? That is not my particular pigeon-hole, with the occasional exception in the right company. So, whatever.
My friend talked me into going to her yoga class yesterday, though. That was interesting. It's less of a "class" than a "few people she knows, including one who's been doing it a long time and doesn't mind leading the rest of us through it." In my opinion, though, that's preferable. It's kind of a social event, and my favorite kind thereof, too: just a few people, relatively quiet, and focused on something but not too tightly. As for the routine itself, it was really relaxing. I can tell it was exercise by the fact that I was sore today (apparently I miss some muscles in my usual workouts), but it sort hides the fact that you're exercising from you while you're doing it. So, I might start attending that semi-regularly (they do it every Sunday). I'm out of town the next couple of weekends (home to visit friends, Connecticut to see Dwen and be subjected to her most recently-learned battery of personality tests, and then home again for Easter), but hopefully I can get into the habit starting after that. If I'm feeling ambitious, or bored at home, I might even head back from my parents' a little early this week, since the class is around the half-way point on the trip back here.
