And so begins another of the occasional periods of being really busy...
This weekend, I have a dinner up in northern MD with some friends.
Next weekend, I'm off to Long Island to meet Dwen, and take her to a concert. On that Sunday, I'll be stopping by NYC to visit Esther briefly, buy her a housewarming gift, and see whatever vaguely offensive souvenir she brought me back from Greece. (When she came back from Korea, she brought me a statuette of a little boy bent over crying with his pants down....) Also, that Friday, I'm supposed to stop in and visit Jay, and see her for the first time since she got breast implants, which should be... peculiar.
After that, I'll spend the weekend in Dallas to go see Tim and Michele; we'll see how the newlyweds are doing going into month 4. God willing, maybe they'll introduce me to this hot friend of hers they keep teasing me with.
As a bonus, I have jury duty as a little weekday interim there. Fortunately, work should have died down by then, so I don't think it will really get in the way. Probably be interesting, even. I've never been to a proper trial, so I sort of hope I get picked. I'll have to see if I can convince work to let me use sick time rather than vacation, though.
Then, finally, for the first weekend in August, it's back to New York to see Esther again, and take her up on that offer of Lesbian Strip Club night. "They eat each other out on stage!" she gushes. I remain baffled as to why this appeal to her, of all people, but if she knows a manager and can get us in free, why look a gift horse in the mouth, you know?
Then I'll probably have a couple months of total nothing again.

But wait: it continues!
Apparently the second weekend of August I'm drafted to go to Ocean City (again) with Jay, who has some sort of sick obsession with the beach that I cannot comprehend. I haven't seen her all summer, though, so I'll probably go just for that reason.
And one other weekend in August Dwen wants to go "camping." I put thi in quotes because knowing her, she wants to stay in a cabin and not go outside. But I'm just going to go ahead and plan real camping, because I think despite her vocal objections, she'll enjoy it.
