I thought I'd start posting some blogs that reveal a little more about me! Of course, anyone is always welcome to ask questions if you want to know something I haven't yet mentioned.
So… What could I not live without? I'll do this by category.
Person - As cliched as it sounds, the one person I could not live without is my Mummy. She is my best friend as well as the lady who gave birth to me, and I have a really close relationship with her. She is an incredibly strong lady, who has been through many a hard time, and I can only dream that I become as strong and brave as her as I mature. I won't harp on about her though, because I'll get too soppy and blubbery!
Object - I could not live without Rabbit. Rabbit is a soft/cuddly/stuffed toy in the shape of a bunny rabbit. I've had it since I was a tiny little girl, it was a leaving gift from a private nursery school I attended as an infant. For some reason, of all the toys I had, this one made me the happiest and followed me through to adulthood. Rabbit (who doesn't seem to have any gender - just whatever suited the game I was playing as a child) has been to three continents, six countries, and many cities and rarely left my side as a kid. Rabbit actually got lost once when I was little in John Lewis (a big chain department store with furniture, clothing, shoes, toys, cosmetics, etc.) and my Mum had to spend an hour wheeling me around in my pushchair looking for where I'd dropped it. Nightmare! I refused to sleep at nights without my Rabbit - he/she was my best friend! I still have it, but unfortunately poor Rabbit is in a deteriorating condition after being loved for so many years. We snuggle every night I'm at home, as long as no friends are staying over. Rabbit is my go-to thing if I'm feeling down so I literally could not live without her.
Food - I could never ever live without curry. Indian food is my favourite and if I could get away with eating Tikka Masala and Pilau Rice morning, noon, and night, then I would! I also enjoy a cheeky side of onion bhajis (sp?) and peshwari naan bread. Yum! Take note - if you ever take me to dinner make sure it's a good curry house!
Drink - I am a self-confessed coke addict. Coca cola (full fat) is my addiction and crutch. I cannot function without it. Vanilla coke is actually my ultimate favourite but it's not always available. I'm not a huge drinker of alcohol, I enjoy a sweet little cocktail or three when I'm out on a weekend but for the most part I am a happy chappy with a tin of ice cold coke in my hand. What can I say? I'm a cheap date!
Place - I'd love to say somewhere exciting and exotic - my second favourite place is Phi Phi Island in Thailand… but the one place I could not live without is my Grandma and Grandad's house. I grew up there and it is an extremely beautiful and comforting home. For the most part buildings are just bricks and morter, but my Grandma has done a lot to make it a home where I can relax and feel at ease. It's my safe haven and I would never leave if I could get away with it haha!
