Notes from the road:
1. A waitress will instinctively give the dinner bill to the person wearing shoes.
2. If one can out-drink the owner of the restaurant, dinner is free.
3. If a woman on the street says "hello" in English, and they are wearing glasses and generally opaque clothing, they are probably a student at a famous university. If neither of the above qualifications apply, then they probably want to be your girlfriend for 50 minutes.
4. Traffic lights, lane markings, and any type of sign intended to promote highway safety are really just suggestions.
5. People, in general, are kind and helpful to strangers.
6. Having a wicked hangover at 3PM is best cured by a short nap in the car, then more drinking.
