STORY: we had to take Tiger my biggest fattest cat to the vet yesterday, he had this thing on the back of his neck, i called my sis and the vet and they both agreed it was an abscess, cause? a fight with another cat resulting in a puncture wound that was now getting infected... took him to the vet, they shaved the area, gave us some antibiotics and they cleaned out his wound, poor kitty..... cost $122

After vet took VAN to Midas, because brakes were making a sound... paid $22 to have them look at VAN and tell us what the problem was...

ESTIMATED COST OF REPAIR: $425.65 for VAN

The girl said we needed:

new pads, everything needs to be inspected $114.95 for parts and labor

two new rotors ( the cause of the sound we heard) $188.48 for parts and labor

Clean rear brakes $29.99 for parts and labor

Flushing of hydraulic system $49.99 for Parts and labor

+ what they call a SHOP SUPPLY FEE $18.15

+ taxes 24.09

GRAND TOTAL for ESTIMATE: $425.65

and that's just to get it on the road, that's not even to get it to "SAFE ENOUGH TO DRIVE" so they say

they said that it also needs 2 new front axles... $$$$$$

so mami2 wrote us a check for 200 to use towards the repair of the car, she tried to with-drawl the money out of the atm at both publix and bank of america and it would not let her take any money out, so i deposited the check into my account since i am the one getting paid tomorrow, and we will use my card to pay for the repair, but i'm scared that the check will not clear

this morning she told the man that she was supposed to use the 200 dollars she gave us for the car repair to pay ammita back for lending her money....now i understand that we are responsible for paying for part of the cost to fix the car because mami2 has been very nice in letting us borrow the car everyday to go to work, but i am upset for having to pay over half of the cost to fix the car when our car is still not working, and by the way these events are happening it may never get fixed

then mami2 told the man that i need to get a second job, because i don't work enough.... this made me very mad, we make enough money to support ourselves buy the stuff we need, buy food for ourselves and even though we haven't had the money to get the car fixed in the past, we had the money now to fix our car and now we can't because we have to fix the van.....and on top of that i make just as much money as she does, so maybe she should get another job....

and she also told the man that we are going to have to lend her money b/c she's broke.... if we are paying to fix her car how can we lend her money, we have bills to pay and rent is due the beginning of the month, we just got out of debt with bills, we still have credit cards to worry about, and i don't want to fall behind again on bills especially when we finally got them straight.....

it's a very frustrating situation... and i would ask my parents for help... but they loaned me 700+ so we could move in to this new apartment because we had nowhere else to go and our old apartment was deemed unlivable...
