I am returned from the frozen north! Spent last weekend in Orkney with work folk. We visited the Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae, sadly on what even the locals admitted was one of the worst days of weather they've had this winter. Despite the driving rain and wind to blow you all Mary Poppins into the distance, it was absolutely beautiful.

Kirkwall is a Good Life fantasy of northern austerity, cosmopoliton hippie-dom and random Norwegian sailormen. If ever find an occupation I can pursue alone and far away, I now have a plan for my dotage.
In unrelated news, I hate having to break up with people so much that it's really not worth going out with them in the first place. Hurting people I like makes me miserable.

Did you get along to the Wee Chill in Queens Park at the weekend? Southside Glasto!
