I have really been absent here lately... at least a brief update is due....
Still working from home four out of the five days, but that may be changing... and not for the better. Working in the office drives me nuts due to all of the distractions and noise of being in an 'open concept' environment. Whomever said it was a good way to inspire ideas and creativity is a fucking liar.... it allows people to not do their job to research and to just ask me. Tired of that so I am updating the resume just to be prepared.
Parents are maintaining okay but trying to get them to go back to basic functions during the age of COVID is proving to be terrible. My mother in particular has become deeply depressed but won't try to help her situation... not sure what to do anymore.
Started using the MyFitnessApp to track food. After four years of multiple back injuries, bad habits, and (once again) COVID, I have put on a terrible amount of weight. Figured starting with diet change and then move into cardio is the best option. Never did the food measuring before but apps make everything easier doesn't it? Just have to work on recipes and a bit more portion control and I will be good. I will probably never get back down to where I was at in 2016 again... but I can try to be better.
