My weekend was better than your weekend!


Friday night started out with a bang! I went down the the showbox to pick up some grass from my friend Alex who was mixing monitors and I got invited to the show that night (turbonegro). So I went home and showered, put my hawk up and went out to the box. It was a great show! I saw a ton of people there that I liked and the band was hilarious! They had a midget! He touched me!

and the lead singer had his own handmaiden. I mean, how can you top that? A midget and a handmaiden!

Saturday morning I got up and prepared myself for the upcoming event. I went out to the Pooh district and ate a sandwich and then met up with Eric and Cass. They were my support group!

I went into Deep Roots and met with Rion for my appointment to get my lip scalpelled. We discussed my jewelry options and I asked him about the procedure. Cass came into the room with me so i could hold her hand and we went for it.

Yup, it hurt. Yup, it hurt a lot. More than any of my other mods so far... Not that I thought I was tough, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to hurt so bad... But all in all the procedure was pretty quick, Rion did an amazing job and I am now the proud owner of a 0g labret. (see pictures)

After that I went home, smoked some weed and just hung out with my throbbing lip. Not a whole lot of pain, just kind of an ache. And it was starting to swell.

Sunday morning I woke up and my lip didn't hurt at all. It was more swollen, but looked great! Did a seasalt soak and it was all good.

Hung out with Marie a bit and watched some CSI NY on DVD. Then Brendan came over and we watched the Revenge of the Pink Panther. He fell asleep during the movie cuz he was a sleepy boy... hahaha.

Yeah, then I went to bed. and now I'm awake at work. Good times.
