One of the chickens has been stashing her eggs in a dark corner of the barn away from the pesky humans who keep taking them. It's Selma's MO to do this but normally I will catch her at 12 or 15. Not this time, 42! She's a small chicken too, how does she plan to sit on 42 eggs?
It's a battle against nature out there. We're waging a full-on attack on the rats with a semi-automatic BB gun. I do have a new farm hand but he's slower than frozen molasses and I'm thinking that hiring him might have been a mistake. 200 bales of hay are arriving soon and he better step it up.

A distraction would rock, but alas I've burned all my time off work for 2012...catching you on here will have to be, eh, distracting enough for now...
