Well, the hospital lied to me. This lady Peggy who I specifically asked to pre-verify that my insurance was going to cover the entire stint in the hospital told me she would before I came in. After being released from the hospital, I found a letter at home saying that my insurance was doing an investigation into my epilepsy falling into their pre-existing condition exclusion clause. On Monday during my follow up call to the hospital I asked Peggy again if she pre-verified everything and she told me that she had and the insurance would pay everything. However, today I talked to my insurance company about their little investigation and the guy I talked to there said that they hadn't heard anything from the hospital at all and given my history, all of this stuff does fall under the exclusion and they probably aren't going to pay for anything. So now, all of my doctor visits prior to the testing as well as the week of monitoring are all going to fall on my shoulders. I think I may have to get an attorney to help me deal with this.

That is FUCKED up. I get a new bill every day from my recent visit, and I have wicked insurance. I can't imagine having to pay the entire bill out of pocket, that's just crazy.

Pay them in pennies and tell them to eat a dick. They'll fuck you over however they can. Bastards!
