Maui Continued:
For day 1 go HERE
Day 2:
For day 2 we decided to go down around the south volcano, Haleakala, to Hana. The roads through the rainforest were tiny one lane roads.

Along the way we met an awesome girl running a small fruit stand.

We bought a few things from her and then continued our trek. The rain forests had some very cool foliage.

and we also found the Garden of Eden!!

Too bad it was closed.
When we got farther south we started to see some of the cliffs on the coast.

and found a rocky shore where the waves were crashing in.

Some of the true locals on the island

This is one of the huts we saw when we got to Hana.

With the help of a few people we found an awesome red-sand beach where we chilled out and for Eddies birthday, we drank a few beers and smoked a cigar.

Even better, after sunset a few local people came along with a couple joints rolled but no one remembered to bring a lighter. We only had some really shitty matches, it took probably 8 tries to get the cigar lit, so we ended up jump starting the joints off of the cherry on the cigar. Hey, whatever works. They shared the jounts with us and after they left we returned to our towels, still FUCT up.

Later I had to drive Eddies passed out ass back the 2 1/2 hours to Kahalui. I passed out at the hotel and then Eddie went out drinking more for his birthday. You'll have to get that story from him.
Day 3 to come later
Peace
Andy
