I dont think Ive ever told you about my horrendous eyesight. Im legally blind without glasses, and my vision can only be corrected to 20/30 or so, although its only 20/40 in my right eye. Plus I have congenital cataracts that havent gotten big enough to be taken out yet, and they interfere with my vision. You can call me Ms. Magoo.

So I had my annual eye exam last week. My eye doctor covered up my left eye and had me look at that vision chart thingy without my glasses/contacts. Im sure he had a couple of rows of letters uncovered up there, but I couldnt see a single thing, I couldnt even tell that there were rows of letters. Then he flipped the chart around, and this time I could see that there were probably 3 rows of letters, but I couldnt tell what they were, it was all a blur. So he kept that up there and quickly switched to covering up my right eye. I looked up at the chart and said . . . OH! Its the big E!

Yes, I am so blind, I couldnt tell I was looking at the big E at the top of the vision chart when I was using my bad eye. Blind as a bat I tell ya, but without the handy sonar. And like I said, even when Im wearing my glasses or contacts, my vision is only corrected to 20/30 or 20/40 or so.

I had some trouble with the previous version of the SG website given my horrible vision. But now things are a gajillion times worse!! Oh my god this site suuuuuucks. I already have my screen display set at 150% (which means the average person can see it from 5 yards away ), but that doesnt seem to help this site much. These are reasons I leave sites. And Im not just saying that so people will say things like please dont leave. I really have no desire to squint and decipher crap any more than I have to. I have to do plenty of that at work (and I get paid to do that.)

I'm open to any suggestions to help the visually impaired . . .

P.S. There's a reason I'm not on MySpace. The top 5 friends thing is so high school . . .
