Time for an update I think.
Been enjoying watching the World Cup, the two teams I suspected that would do well before and during the early stages were Brazil and Argentina but they have gone home.
So we have Germany, Italy and France plus some other lot who deserve to be thrashed by France (before anyone thinks I am English, I am Scottish) mainly because of there poor performance. Whats even scarier Scotland have both Italy and France in there Euro 2008 cup qualifying group plus the Ukraine who were in the last 8, yes I am scared that Scotland will be humped by these teams plus the Faroe Isles.
Been leading a fairly quiet existence, I managed to miss a nice session in the Meadows in Edinburgh last weekend mainly because I didn't come out until 10pm for various reasons. Was out with work colleagues last Friday and ended up in a nice wine bar on the Saturday.
This weekend I am heading down to Welwyn for my first SGUK met up, kind of nervous as they seems to be very few people I actually know from the groups. Had to change my tickets for coming home as I discovered I would be on the train home when the world cup final was on especially 4 years ago I managed to miss the last one 4 years ago as I had drank too much beer in a Miami nightclub and had failed to respond to my alarm.
For the travellers who come here, apart for a possible few trips around Scotland when I have the time which isn't a lot at the moment, my next trip away is in September where I plan to visit Lodz and make my yearly trip to Bolesawiec plus visit Vilnius again in Lithuania. Well its my 3rd visit there since 2003 but then again Scotland do keep getting Belarus and Lithuania in there qualifying groups.
