We got back from DC this afternoon, and, at last, I get a short respite before our next road trip, which is June 24-26 in Charlotte. Then it's off to the wife's family in Huntsville, Alabama for the annual July 4 reunion and San Antonio in the middle of July for my high school reunion. Plus I got to squeeze a trip to Fort Worth to see my new niece sometime this summer as well. Sheesh, is there no end? Ah, who am I kidding...I like to travel.
Anyway, the trip was nice. I like DC. It's a very pretty city--lots of trees, neat neighborhoods, and good places to eat and drink. Three days isn't a whole lot of time, but we went to the Museum of American History, the Air and Space Museum, the National Zoo, the American Indian Museum, caught a couple of Nationals games, and grabbed a few international brews at Brickskellers. Good stuff. It was a fun, quick trip, but alas, I've got no more excuses to put off paining the living room and dining room.
I'll post some DC pics sometime tomorrow, after I get all of them uploaded from the camera.
Peas, boys and girls.
